I started my truss design journey in 2004 as Tony Urban's first hire, and it’s been a whirlwind, to say the least! Being a vocational school-trained draftsman, I knew I would be an asset to the team Tony was talking about building. That coupled with 5 years of military service and leadership, I helped Tony build and lead a successful design team working for and with multiple truss companies over the last 20-plus years.

In 2016, Tony Urban formed Axis Truss Design Services and made me a partner with him on that adventure, continuing to grow our company and provide exemplary truss design services. In 2022, I joined Tony Urban, Don Groom, Mike Bellows, and the Trussworks family as the VP of Design & Estimating, along with remaining the General Manager of Axis Truss Design Services. In 2023, Axis Truss Design Services became a part of Trussworks and became part of what Trussworks is known as today.

The Design and Estimating team Tony and I have built over the years is second to none. We’re all grassroots, blue-collar, hardworking folks, and we’ve all stuck together through thick and thin, economic downturns, and a global pandemic. I couldn’t be part of a better team and I’m extremely thankful and proud to be part of Trussworks and to see where the future takes us.
